History:

Knowing that this apple was developed in New Brunswick, N. J., its not surprising that the other common name for it is Jersey Mac.  This apple is a cross between the New Jersey and the Julyred.  Since it is an early apple variety is should enjoyed immediately after picking, since its storage life is relatively short.  This is the variety that starts Obstbaum Orchard's apple season.
