| Quality
at Obstbaum: Providing a quality product to each of our customers is our first priority. First, our orchard takes part in an ongoing integrated pest management system that is led under the guidance of Michigan State University. This program provides expert knowledge on how best to tend our orchards in order to provide top quality apples that are always safe to eat. Each apple is hand picked and only first quality apples are used. We do not use drops or damaged apples in our cider. All of the apples that we provide our customers are washed with triple spiral brushes and given a fresh water bath. Our cider is also triple filtered before bottling. You can be assured that after each batch of cider the cider press is completely washed to avoid residues. Finally, our cider is sanitized through ultra violet light, which eliminates any bacteria. This treatment is different from heat pasteurizing in that it does not change the consistency or taste of natural cider (heat treatment makes cider turn to apple juice). Finally, we take pride in our store, which you will find clean and organized to ensure that you have a pleasant visit. To contact Obstbaum Orchards via e-mail, click here |
