Visiting the Orchard
Obstbaum Orchards welcomes guests on fall weekends when apples, cider, and bakery items are at their peak. This page collects practical details families use before a trip to our cider mill at 9252 Currie Road in Northville (Salem), Michigan. For a quick overview, start on our home page.
Check before you drive
Hours follow the harvest, not a fixed calendar. Our fall store is usually open Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. U-pick rows open only when fruit is ready and weather allows.
Read Apples In Season for varieties, specials, and any schedule changes.
Scan our Facebook page for same-weekend updates.
Call the orchard line listed on Contact Us if you are unsure about rain or early sell-outs.
At the cider mill
Inside you will find fresh-pressed cider, donuts, pies, and other seasonal treats. Hayrides and other activities are offered when posted. Parking is on site. Restrooms are in the store. Cash and cards are accepted when the mill is open.
U-pick tips
Wear closed-toe shoes and dress for mud on wet days. Bring bags or baskets if you like, though supplies are often available. Children should stay with an adult between rows. Pick only what you plan to purchase so trees stay healthy for the next guest.
When the mill is closed
Montmorency tart cherry juice concentrate ships year-round with free U.S. shipping. Estate wines and hard cider may be special ordered as noted on Our Wines and in the site sidebar. You can also browse fall memories on Photos.
