End of the Season: Sale Items....and Halloween

The kids, my husband and I will be joining grandpa and grandma (and hopefully you) this weekend. We are looking forward to a Michigan Halloween! June (10yrs) will dress as a unicorn princess, and Til (6yrs) is a Minecraft pig zombie (?!). I have no idea what or if I’ll pull something off in the last moment. We’re hoping that grandma and grandpa can enjoy walking around with us Sunday evening.

As a mom, I’ve come to learn that Halloween begins the holiday season. The holiday photo should get done this weekend to not stress me out later. I even started purchasing wrapping paper at the dollar store for the teacher gifts. I like giving edible gifts to teachers and special others. After Covid, I feel like people want less “stuff” and would rather enjoy relaxing with others…nice edible gifts are perfect for that. If that’s your strategy too, I would recommend a few sale items this weekend:

  • Cider special: Buy 1 gal. : get 1 gal. free. - You can freeze for mulled cider.

  • Caramel apples: For the really good kids on Halloween.

  • Cherry wine: Perfect for holiday entertaining and is not in retail distribution

  • Northern Spy pies and Fruits of the Forest pies - Frozen for Thanksgiving, you can give yourself a break, we did the baking.

There are also plenty of Honeycrisp and Gala apples that can hold in your refrigerator. Looking forward to seeing you.
